I'm lookin for a barrel for an A-5, and I'm not quite sure what to get, so I'm looking for advice on what to get. I saw an M4 sniping barrel online that i liked and probly would be a secondary barrel, but ive heard mixed things about that. ive heard an All-American would be good, but again mixed responses. So if anyone has ne advice on what would be good to get id appreciate it.

i used a J&J on my 98 and it always did well and was easy on my wallet. I have heard good things about stiffi barrels and the whisper series too but have never gotten to use them. ill keep my eye out for you though.

J&J or All American if you want somthing good for around 30-40 dollars maybe 20 if your luck. and since they are good with what they are you can always upgrade later on.

Ok what if I"m lookin for a more expensive barrel, not like insane. but like 60-70. I want sumthin really good, cuz i don't want to sacrifice ne accuracy with some half ass barrel.

I really could care less where I get it from, I just want to get the best.

Austin, the M4 sniper i was talkin about im really kind of hooked on, but im still not sure if i wanna get it. i've seen it all over but the best looking one with e best description i found on rap4 under the tippman barrels. if u or ne one else could take a look at it and tell me what they think it would help. i'm stuck btwn a rock and a hardplace.

The J&J ceramic barrels are as accurate as anything I've used and cost half as much. I was the driving force behind getting them as a sponsor because I've been using their barrels since '94 and love them. They're also an Ohio company. Ifyou want even more accurate and don't mind spending money, Palmer Pursuit makes solid brass barrels that all thee old A5OG guys won't shut up about.

josh which j&j would u suggest, i was lookin at some but i really couldnt get a read on which one would fit my needs best. i'll also take a look at the palmer persuit barrels, just in case.

second, thnx for the advice on the sniper, im still hesistant about gettin it, cuz i think itll be tight but thats just cuz its big, lol. but ill hold off on getting it if i do, ill get sumthin more practical first, then if i ever feel like tryin sumthin new i can get that. THnx boys

i was lookin for probly 12 to 14 so that would be good. ill have to look into the different types when i go to get one, they usually help me with what works best when i go to GM.

Dewayne, how do u like the apex u have, cuz ive looked at that too.

For 12 or 14 I would still recomend the J&J still simply from past use. Extremely accurate and easy still on the wallet. which is always a good thing Laughing

Also, since I have the 3 J&Js and a new 8" LapCo Big Shot, I can let anyone with an A-5 who wants to test out the different lengths. Just let me know before the next game we'll both be at so that I remember to bring them all.

J&J 14 ceramic is what I have been using with the a5. If the paint breaks then the barrel is what some people call a self cleaning barrel. The next coupld of shots clean the barrel out through the porting on the barrel.

It is more accuarte then most of the other barrels out there that I have tried on the a5.

If you want distance then go wtih the apex or flatline. But I do think that with the distacnce you do give up some of the acuracy is what I have heard from some people. But that has been debated for some time now.
