better, easier solution....  http://forums.macnn.com/90/mac-os-x/311680/system-restore/

Or you could just do what I have been telling the 2 mac guys here at work they need to do...  get a PC and stop playing with TOYS.

There are other options, depending on the mac os, there may be a permissions issue, try rebuilding your disk permissions (Disk Utility), or some adobe stuff still stuck in your user identity.  You might have better luck just creating a new identity and trying to install it under that.  again, system dependent, and I think that works under Leopard?

Did you use a Sledge Hammer.... if not were you ever tempted?

Gotta tell you all a story from when I was in the Navy now.  I was a DP (Data Processing Tech) so my life revolved around computers.  One day this computer in our workcenter stoped working and of course the Navy takes the chain of command and all the higher ranks get a shot at fixing it.  Now it's my turn and I futz with it for about an hour and my Lead Petty Officer says it's ok we'll just replace it.   I said if your going to replace it let me try one more thing.  I walked down the hall grabed a sledge hammer and came back in the office to a huge roar of laughter.  I slammed the hammer on the table and then announced to the computer.  Do you see that hammer beside you? If you don't work this time I turn you on I'm going to smash you into 1000 peices.  To which I heard I want a swing at it.. me too.. ok guys form a line...  I turned on the computer and it worked PREFECTLY.  For months after this we left the sledghammer on the desk since I put it with the handle up toward the celing and every time someone tried to take the hammer everyone would stop them and then tell the story, that hammer is keeping that computer scared to breakdown don't move it.

What do you think a BFH is?  It's usually a Sledge Hammer it big and it's a hammer.
