So, how does one explain the type of weekend that I have had. I will try to sum it up in as few as words as possible that outline the key moments to this event:
*Exciting
*Fun
*Hilarious
*Team Seamstress
*BINGO!!!
*Deadified - Bedarue?
*Blinking red lights, Delta Squad?
So, let's get started with Exciting. This event had me reeling inside from the moment we stepped foot onto the field. For those that haven't played in a big game before, go watch Saving Private Ryan. The first scene shows an army storming onto the beach against a well defended attack. This is how our event started. 120 guys attacking a hill on an army that outnumbered us and had the elevated position. All of Delta Squad (DS, for future reference) had radio communications that were soon compromised. Our captain, Walking Tall, was the acting CO and very quickly barked orders of where we needed to attack. After an hour or so of fighting, we finally breached the hill and pushed the enemy back all the way to their Command Post, taking it out in the process. The rest of the event was just as high-octane as this but we will get to that later.
Fun - Sex might be the only thing better than this! What a ride! From sun-up to sun-down and beyond the action was always going strong and neither side ever let off or quit. There were always missions that needed to be completed from attacking helo's to guarding the road (remember this for future reference). If you got bored here, you weren't playing hard enough.
Hilarious - I would like to say that I am honored to be a part of a team that makes fun of retards, shoots at our OWN captain and plays TAPS on the radios just to mess with the opposing force. This trip was never short of a laugh and more importantly the comraderie was amazing. we all got along so well but laughed in the process at events and misshaps.
Team Seamstress - Our devoted Seamstress, Bulldog, never seems to surprise us all. Picture this if you will...A 30+ year old guy sewing stuff to add on everyone's vest and coming out of the air-conditioned only to eat 2 burgers. Now imagine this over a 10 hour period. He got an earfull for that! LOL
BINGO!!! - We watched the movie "The Ringer" which was of a guy who tries to fix the Special Olympics and had earlier listened to Larry The Cable Guy talk about "funnier than a deaf guy trying to win at Bingo". The rest of the trip Jerry was yelling BINGO!!! and French Fries when we were in bed, over the radios and pretty much any other time he could think of!
Deadified...bedarue? - So, what does this mean? I have no idea. You have to ask pete because he said this on our night mission. After 2 hours of guarding the road, of which no one but our side walked on, we grew quite bored. well, apparently, when Pete gets bored, he loses his grip of his language. At night, since we couldn't see anyones arm band, we would say "Identify yourself...red or blue?" The correct answer would either be "dead" or 'red". Any deviation would get your ass lit up by our squad. Apparently, in the confusion as a guy walked up quietly on our position, Pete yelled out "Deadified - Bedarue?" The messed up part is that the guy actually said "I'm dead and I am red"!
Blinking red lights, Delta Squad? - So, during our night mission we had to look for any kind of light to find our enemy. While on our boring "road protection", IceMan and Pete noticed a blinking red light in the distance and asked anyone on radios if DS had any blinking red lights. No remarks. They asked again. And again. Nothing. So, pete tells IceMan where to aim and shoot but DeWayne loses sight of the light. So Pete grabs IceMan's barrel, aims it and says fire. A split second later we hear Jerry cussing at us for shooting at him! The light was blinking off his gun and he thought we meant a different blinking red a light, a "bigger one". Needless to say, we all about pissed ourselves laughing so hard!
So, that is my evaluation of this weekend. I would like to add that it was an honor to play alongside everyone present and I look forward to playing with you all in the future, as well as other DS members.
I would also like to thank Pete for everything that he provided. You have my utmost respect and gratitude, brother. I will go into battle with you anytime! Thank you!

Well while sitting here at work and reading the post from EVOL...I just laugh at the whole weekend and think of the fun we had as a team. The movies on Friday night were a blast and a laugh...BINGO !!! The guys we had there are great guys and to that i say thank you for being such great guys and allowing all of us to have fun as a team together. i am definetly going to be looking forward to the many games we have to come.
Yeah we did get our butts handed to us at the first attack of the morning, as we could not get the hill for some time at the beggining. But when we kept getting the reinsertion of players we started to make progress and push back. I having th efaltline was having so much fun shooting up the hill at the targets and getting some of the players that were bunkering our guys.
The night game was a sit and guard the road (won't do that again, in turn due to getting shot at by my own team...LOL !!) But after sometime we gave up on the guarding the road and Evol and I called it a night at 1130pm and Bulldog,TO,Iceman, went ahead and proceeded down the hill to the center hill with the fort on the top. This was pretty much where we could see the battles take place througout our guarding position. They came back around 130am from that fun adventure. My suggestion is that if you do not have NV for a night mission you are up a creek if you are in the woods playing.
The Sunday battle started around 930am and we had to guard the fuel depot. We get there and the other side had the up hill battle to us at this point. We all headed for the tape line on the left and snuck up it till we could get to the action, and did we. We had targets and they were laying the paint out on us. TO and I had fun with the flattys again and getting people at the distance. Bulldog and Iceman, and JBird took the tape line some more and crwled in the underbrush to take some of the opfor out on the left.
I could go and for some time and will not as it would be come a short story if i do. I summing it up, It was a BLAST and I enjoyed everyones company and we were the one eveyone was jealous of with the motorhome and AC fo the weekend......along with the great host of TO who is a great man and Bullldog the seamstress and getting it done for us to have a great looking team tag....Thanks guys and look forward to more this year.....BINGO OUT !!! _________________ If you find a tree big enough to get behind, push your teammate out from behind it.
