Well we spent the night at the local Knights Inn on Friday night getting rest and being closder to the field for a early start to Sat. morning. Zoo and I rode together for the game and we really did not have much trouble finding the field. The only problem I think andyone new to the field would have is finding the fields road at first. Once you find it with the somewhat U turn you have to make to get to it, your set to get to it.
Friday nights hotel was kind of on the not so good side, but for 55.00 for the night it was not that bad. Thanks for getting us there OD!! Yes we give you some crap for the hotel. Zoo and I hit the field Fri. night to get our paint for the event to allow us to take it back to the room and load pods. The store was nice set up and in a Barn on the farm that the field is located on. Some stuff is reasonable priced but soem over priced. The paint was changed this year to Draxxus paint Diabblo Heat and Formula 13 the higher end paint. We paid 45.00 for the Diabblo Heat and it was all in good shape. The store checked the paint before giving it to us which I thought was a great idea to asve them on the hassle of players coming bcak with broken paint.
The day of the event we get up and going Sat. morning at around 630am this in allowing us to get breakfeast and there early enough to set up the pop ups. Rain begins to start before we get to the field as we load up. It is just kind of a sprinkle coming in at 8 am. But by 9 a.m. to around 930 a.m. it starts to become a steady rain. By the time the game gets up and ready it quits opn us.
Olddog is our leader for this game and we are on the German side for this one. the theme was "Kelly's Hero's" from the famous movie from the late 60's or early 70's. All I can tell you is the first time I saw it was a little kid at the drive in with the family and remember the tank (German) gets stuck in the alley behind houses with the turret not being able to swing around to teh US tank to shoot back. There were also a lot popular actors in the movie also.

April 1944:
Well we are here and the US troops have us pinned back at the river and giving us a formidable fight to get across. We have learned that we need to advance to cut off the Allie forces from taking the town from our unit. Once we can get to the town we will be ready to stop them form the directions we are told that the forces are forming to the west. After checking our equipment we are sent to the river with OD bieing our commander in charge for this engangment with the allies.
As i look out over the river I can see on the opposite side the US forces taking up defensive positions. We are bombarded as soon as we take our positions next to the river from our left and right flanks. Being pinned down behind the houses and buildings near the river. Our troops taking positions near the houses and buildings trying desperetly to return fire.
OD is yelling out instructions to the troops while trying to get the bazooka teams in place to wrek havic on the allies across the river. In a move by our right flank, they approached the XO Bingo asking if they could ford across the river down stream in a flanking move. After observing the enemy with no flank cover, the response "yes" was given and they moved quickly into position. As they forded across in the knee deep river crossing, the front was ordered to give a distracting cover fire.
The move had worked!! One by one the enemies positions were being eliminated from the right flank. Our battalion was then across the river and moving into our command post to move the war forward.
With the special forces in place, Dragon Lance regiment, Delta Squad, and many others the German command put into place and was able to run the orders from the higher command.
After many battles and chess board movements between the commanders of both forces. The German Army was able to remove the Allies from the European lands and control the banks and gold that was needed for the wealth and financing of the army.
