Well we had another great outing for us as a team. I think Sunday was our best day of game play. We had the left tape line from the base to the south, not the gully or revine side, made our way up the line, Dirdy, Zoo, OldDog, AC, and myself.

We were trying to beat the blue team back away from the front of the castle at Sherwood Paintball field where the game was at. As we started to advance we get right smack into it with the blue team, GDI side, and we are getting shot at from every direction you can think of except behind us.

Dirdy and Zoo make the run to the front behind bunkers and paint is chasing them as the move. Dirdy makes it up to a tree stump and some brush and starts taking fire to his left and front. After we see where the fire is coming from I get the double trouble out and run it in the direction of Dirdy out to his front. There two of the GDI's are hiding or hunkered down in a large tree stump to his front.

Once I get the D/T running the teo behind the tree stump duck for cover. I have given Dirdy some relief from them, making them keep their heads down at least for a couple of minutes for Dirdy to see what is coming in on him or where from. As soon as they peak out from behind the stump I let loose again and same result they duck. At this point Zoo is to the right flank and Olddog with AC are just to my front. They start to take fire from the right flank and then in from the front. Olddog starts to return fire to the front as one of the GDI's is making a move to the front in Dirdy's direction.

All hell is breaking loose right in front of the castle area and we are trying to get in closer to run the GDI out. Zoo starts taking fire from his right flank and hits the ground for cover behind on of the earth works. Next thing we see is some more blue coming up over the hill behind the already dug in GDI. ell we are giving them hell and making them commit troops to us in order to keep us from taking the earth works from them and gaining ground.

At this point the numbers start to stack up in us and kind of going against us as the battle rolls on. First Dirdy gets hit from the right flank, Zoo is by himself on the right flank, the guys with me in front of me and to the right get tagged from the right flank. Olddog gets tagged from the right flank, now it seems they have over run us on the right and we are getting screwed now. No troops to commit and no one able to get anywhere front ways or right flank to make a counter move. The numbers keeping getting bigger for them and smaller for us.

I look to the right let d/t rip a couple and the next thing I know, WHACK, right in the vest on the pods.....damn.... Confused

i'll tell you what, even though we didnt hold the castle side, and air school for long we sure as hell did make them think twice about it and send more enemy troops our way.

After we reiserted we pushed them back somewhat but once that wave of more blue came in we had to push back and retreat from the castle to the road and Airfield.

Zoo and I retreat along with Bingo, bingo tagged. Zoo falls back beyond the road and i stay along the tree line behind a stump. Wait a few minutes while the enemy advances, they are talking and all a sudden within 20 feet of me, i pop out, shoot 3 talking and book it running like hell under fire.

Next thing i see is Olddog with a group of reinforcements at the airfield. This airefield we held them for over 30 minutes. After we lost it we soon regained it with another heavy push of reinforcements from the dead box. This was when we used our airfield to land in the castle then blow it up with A/C.

Also lets not forget the story where Jerry helped Rose from Dead Reckoning while she was injured on the field. Kudos to Jerry.

Had another great weekend with the team & Lt Dawg and his sons.  Was great to be able to stick together for the most part and support each other.  I think we did a great job of finding each other on the field.  Especially when Bingo was rolling with the Double Trouble; all you had to do was stop and listen for a bit and you knew exactly where to go  Laughing

Just a few afterthoughts:
> Can't say it enough: Sherwood is such an awesome field.
> Man are my arms covered with mosquito bites!   Even after getting doused with Deet head to toe, those suckers still attacked.
> I think AC's new name should be "Demolition Man".  He was rockin with the launcher!  Twisted Evil

Yeah unless AC has a reason behind that name Rocket man, RPG, Demolitions, bazooka or somthing should be his name. Because its def his position.
