I was just wondering if there was anyone on the team that is really good at taking apart and putting back toget A-5s? I would like to know how to do all the necessary maintenance on my marker.
Thanks in advance! _________________ Siege Dog/Assault Pioneer
Remove everything and wash it in warm water with soap. If you have an air compressor blow all the water out. If not dry them with a towel very good. Put a couple drops of oil on both sides of the clamshell where you see the parts move. If you have a digital camera take pictures as you take it apart. couple pieces to remember is the ball detent and the nut that holds the foregrip. I always forget to put them back in and have to take it back apart.
Maintenance? It's a Tippmann! Run water through it, shake it out, set it out in the sun to dry, then put a couple drops of oil in the air inlet before you air it up. Repeat until something goes wrong, then take it to the Tippmann trailer at a big event and look sad. They'll fix it for free, probably by dumping your internals in a trash can and replacing them with new parts. _________________ "videor levis, forsitan usus pauci telum"
go on the a5og.net best place you can ever go for any questions on your a-5 theres enough owners there to cover about any problem you got some of us might even send you a part for free if you have some thing break its a great forum to belong to
bulldog is right.....just throw water through it if you do not have a egrip on it. You can take it apart if you want to clean it really good. Polish the internals if you have not yet as it helps with the sliding parts to move smoother. Did it to mine.....
I had two of these and they are the rock of paintball when it comes to maintance. Of course the sp-8 I had was like a rock also and just kept on going.
