Game Datails:
CLEAR & PRESENT DANGER - Operation: SHOWBOAT This will be a scenario game based on the book by Tom Clancy Clear & Present Danger. There will be three teams: The Medellin Drug Cartel, U.S. Special Operations Unit and the Colombian Army. Each group will have three objectives they must complete to win. We will start the game promptly at 12:00. If you would like more details feel free to contact me or Godsdog and we can email you info. Loaner equipment is available for $5.00, this includes gun, mask and pod belt. You must supply your own paintballs. If you need loaner equipment contact me (Shadowjackal). We welcome all honorable players who want to have a good time! See you there!

These guys are friends of mine from the CPPA no field fee BYOP, basically a free day if you have left over paint hanging around and have air in your tanks!

Hmmm, any chance these guys would be interested in joining Delta Squad Squirlly since it seems like they are interested in Scenarios?

Maybe an add on team or combination who knows? Send them to the forums?

If anyone of the team is interested just to meet some local players in Columbus this would be a great chance....I'll go if anyone on the team is interested.

10-15 dollars to play isnt that bad.

I'll ask Dirdy. Godsdog is a Licking County Sheriff Deputy and on his SpecOps page he lists a team in his Team Link section but if this team is a fledgling team then they all might just want to merge with Delta Squad... Of course since technically I'm not even a Delta Squad memeber(yeah I know it's hard to beleive as much as I'm involved on the forums) that's up to Bingo and the rest of the team.

i am def in. do we want to meet up to caravan or something. I am in the gahanna area and was thinking of heading out around 10 or so that way we get there by 11. thats an hour for setup and should be enough lol.

If we want to caravan that's cool. I live just off Broad St. a couple of miles from General Merchandise.

We can plan on leaving GM at 10:15 which will get us to the Rally point at 10:45 giving us 10 min or so to get any last min supplies we need to play at GM if you need to.

Called GodsDog and they are expecting 60 or so players for this and he said they are using "about half of the 30 acres we have availalbe" for this game.

I also mentioned Bingo's idea on combining efforts with theit fledgling team with Delta Squad and he sounded interested.

So I was wondering if it would be ok if I came down for this event tommorrow with my brother-in-law. We both are interested in playing but don't want to show up uninvited.

Today my whole family had decided to join GodsDog and ShadowJackel for a game of paintball and that would have been a good day

BUT

The highlight of my day was seeing my son in the back seat of a Licking County Sheriff Deputy's Cruizer....

And now in the words of Paul Harvey "The rest of the story" Day started out OK, since it was a local game I didn't have to get up any earlier than I do to go to work. I loaded the van and people and headed to the game. We got to the game and NOON Sharp turned into 1:30pm. About 20 min into the first game Kitti twisted her ankle. Since there were safe mask off zones on the field she hobbled there but knew she could not make it off the field on her own.

So between games there was a guy with an ATV the went down and fetched her. She then told our sons to find their way back to the staging area. "Just find a path and follow it to the top of the hill"
About a half an hour or so later neither of our sons had made it to the staging area and the second game was about to begin so insted of playing I hit the field to find our sons and help them find the staging area. So the game began and one of our sons found his way to the top of the hill and into the staging area but the 13 year old was not to be found.

After maybe another 30 min one of the game orginizers and I decide to stop the game and find my son. Nobody was angry only concerned maybe disappointed since the whole day had already been interesting but about 4:00pm 90 min since anyone had seen my son one of the guys called the Licking County Sheriff's office to see if mybe he had stumbled into a neighbors yard and contacted the police. Yep he had and according to Yahoo Maps Photos and the address where he was found he managed to walk over 4000 feet from the field and since NONE of the paths were straight I'd bet you he walked a mile.

So a deputy picked him up and brought him back to where we were playing. There was barely enough time for one more game which none of my family played. My wife was nursing a swolen ankle, both my sons were not in the mood to play and I was exhausted and my legs were burning BAD from walking as fast as I can all around the playing area.

So yeah the highlight of my day was seeing my son in the back seat of a Licking County Sheriff Deputy's Cruizer.

Also whoever loaned a kid an X-7 hopper to use at this game I have it just let me know it's yours and I'll get it to you.

He knew it was someone with the Delta guys and knew I was there with them.

It was good meeting you guys out there, day had some rough spots but ended up having a lot of fun.

we had a few smaller games around the yellow teams fort at the end of hte day that were a lot of fun!

WOOHOO... I didnt realize i even left it until I got home. Just let me know when and where I can pick it up. And no problem lending it to him. I wasnt using it for the day so I figured why not.

whichever works for you. My house is at 709 Jonsol Ct. I have class then go straight to work tomorrow so you can either drop it by or i can get it another day. really whichever is easiest for you.
