American Cancer Society

Guys

Just throwing this out to you to see if you would like to do something for a good cause. My wife as most of you know has been fighting cancer (Thyroid, invaded into the lymph nodes) for 13 yrs now. She has endured 8 surgeys from cracking the chest open to get to the cancer to having neck cut open.

I have been blessed to have her by my side now for 18yrs of marriage and know each other for 23yrs.

She is doing the "Relay for Life" American Cancer Society at Canal Winchester High School in June. I was wondering if as a team we would show up in the pants and team shirt and do a walk for her team. There are ways to raise money for this event and for a good cause.

It would be good promo for us and the sponsors to the media here.

If you would like to help out I would be grateful to you and would appreciate your help in this cause.

Date is June 6th and 7th and we would sign up to do one hour slot, we could bring the camel backs and walk...ha ha

Looks like the dates are June 6 & 7.
I'm interested.  I've done the Race for the Cure, but not the Relay for Life.

I've entertained at the relay in the past.  You get a team of people to walk around in circles but only one member from the team needs to be on the track at any given time thus a relay.

I said I have entertianed in the past and as a supprize to all if I can make it I will be there as the real Squirlly... see below, Kitti and Squirlly, the Parti Animals.

It's a 24 hour thing but they don't start it at midnight so it covers 2 days and you get many breaks as long as your team likes you and don't abandon you Twisted Evil

we would just walk on a time slot for the wifes team. I have planned to get a box of candy bars to sale here at the Court House or more. I will do it on behalf of our team as the way to raise the money for her team.

She is planning to have my kids and some other ones to walk the late hours for the team. I can tell her we could take a Sat. morning slot like at 10am and walk for an hour or two, we can do it as one team and just do it in the hour slot or we can break it down to 1/2 hour slots.

I will have drinks there and some snack foods to. They also do a silent auction for some stuff if you are interested in getting something there. If I remember they had OSU home game tickets, jackets, food resturants, etc.

I will get the confirmed details from here tonight and post it back up on here.

Thanks guys for the interest
