Sorry guys, I am not going to be able to swing this one. I survived the layoff  but need to dedicate my time to the family and training for the reserves. The unit I will be assigned to is deploying next year to Iraq so I have a lot of work to do. If for some jacked up reason I fail my physical Thursday I will go to this game but I doubt that will happen. Smile

OD, do we have a final list of everyone on Delta that has preregistered or atleast is planning on going next weekend?

Also, there's also a chance I will be going to the Land on saturday or sunday.  I know you guys hate it, but I have a need to play and I think it will be a good warm up for the event.

I'm free both days but Sunday is cheaper I believe.  However, I still have more than a half a case of balls left from Red Dragon.  I also need to polish my internals before Bloodfest.  Just give me a call or shoot me a message when you guys want to go because I am very flexible this weekend.

Also, I'm not sure if you have this info, but do you know if they are basing Bloodfest off of White Wolf's World of Darkness?  If so I have some good stuff to help get us into the role of Werewolves so we can have some great roleplaying as well as paintballing.

Sounds good.  I sent an e-mail to Cabin Creek seeing if I could get some background info or some flavor on the story/werewolves so we can be prepped for roleplaying.  I'm not sure about you guys but I fully intend to get into the RPing  Twisted Evil

Also, it couldn't hurt to watch a movie or two after we hit up the Land.

Olddog will you have room for Zoo to ride back from Hamilton. I'll probably be driving down but since i will be filming for Barky sunday i'm planning on driving straight from hamilton to Athens after the game.

I sent him a PM, let me know what the situation is.

I'll be driving down myself that morning.  Forgot that I'm going to the Jackets' game that night and have to be back in time for the opening faceoff.  I can give someone a ride, but you have to be able to leave early.

I'm guessing sometime around 7Am?

So, I e-mailed Cabin Creek to get a little more background for us.

Sounds good.  I packed up my things last night and I realized there is a lot of stuff.  I think I need a bigger marker bag and a larger gym bag.

Also, I took apart my marker and went at the internals with a wire brush and I can definitely teller a difference in the smoothness.  However, I think some steel wool will really make a difference.  Would any of you happen to have any steel wool and some gun oil?  If not I'll try to stop by someplace on the way over and grab some.

*Generals will be allowed to walk the field with one member of their team and the generals liason from 8am to 8:30am to familiarize themselves
with the fields.

I will also have a generals packet with maps and other helpful things in it. When you arrive it will be given to you so you can have it when you walk the fields.

Delta Squad is victorious at Bloodfest !

It was a hard fought battle all day, my hat goes off to the opposition commander his team was well organized and where hard charges.

Special thanks goes to Dirdy for the flag hang in the last three minutes of the game that gave us the win.  

Thanks SVU for having our back all day and thanks to all the walkons that played hard for DS

Thanks Sinister Ops for reffing this event, it was there first time doing this  job and they where great.

Thanks for Cabin Creek for hosting this event.
Field is awesome, facility's are great.  DS will definite be back. Olddog

It was one hell of a game between the two teams, with a pretty lame start, it just shows ya you gotta play until the end and keep your heads up. The worse that can happen is having fun losing at a paintball game.

Since Barky's tournament was scratched for Barky and I.....I just slept for a good 12 hrs and woke up feelings like i was hit by a train...first time in a while after paintballing i have been this sore wow!

Had a great time playing even though I had to leave shortly after the lunch break.  Team played very well together, and definitely aprreciated the help from our allies.
Very glad that I didn't almost paralyze myself this time.

Once again it was really good to get out there with everyone. We had a rough start, but once we learned the field and their tactics we did well.  I am so sore today, but it is well worth it.
