Bob Long M-Tac

As a memeber of the Timmy Owners Group I get to see some cool posts like these!!

Hello fellow IOGers!  While technically the new Bob Long M-TAC is not an intimidator it is still a member of the Bob Long family and I feel that it deserves it's own spot on the site.

The M-TAC is in it's most simple sense, a Marq.  It uses the same enclosed bolt design along with an included proficiency engine to achieve the reliability and BPS that Bob Long owners expect, with the style and function that every Mil-Sim and Scenario player wants!  The new arm of Bob Long that developed this marker is called Bob Long Tactical Division (BLTD).  The M-TAC can achieve 30 BPS and includes a 4C Eye system (board version was not discussed but since it is a marq I assume that Marq boards can be installed).

The M-TAC has an adjustable CAR stock included along with full length piccatinny rails.  The feedneck is offset to accomodate the add-ons that Mil-Sim players require such as scopes, handles, flashlights, etc.  The marker also includes three shooting modes including semi, 3 shot burst and full auto adjustable through a simple toggle switch.

The marker will be available in three different colors; Desert Sand, Black Dust and Olive Drab Dust (The Desert Sand and Black Dust are shown in the pictures).

The following picture is one of their promotional posters featuring the new M-TAC.  This poster shows a standard barrel and is NOT the barrel that is included.  The additional pictures show the actual barrel that will be included.  A barrel set will also be available with different bore and potentially length barrels.

This image is available through the nation and several other websites.  NOW, for the IOG exclusive images.  As requested by BLAST I have to state that these images are NOT "official" images of the M-TAC.  These have not been made into promotional images for BLAST or the M-TAC.  These were simply taken once a complete marker was manufactured and BLAST (thank you Matt) was kind enough to provide them to IOG for our own use.  These include the new barrel that will be included with the M-TAC.  Shown are the Dust color and the Dust Black.  Again, these are NOT official BLAST/BLTD images, these are simply exclusive IOG images from a fellow member (MattfromBLAST).

I hope that the fellow members of IOG have enjoyed these images.  I appreciate BLAST/BLTD assistance and help in providing these exclusive photos of the M-TAC.  Hopefully we will have additional exclusives on this and other future BLAST/BLTD products as we have become very close with BLAST recently.

Again I would like to thank BLAST for the oppertunity to break these images to the IOG (and dare I say paintball) community!

oh yeah and the whole reason i started a reply, the M-TAC does not, one more time does not come with the stock. there are going to be several adapters made that will allow at this point either a plastic Tippmann 98 butt stock or a AR-15, M-4 or M16 mil spec butt stock to be attached. again these are options. Another item to note is that the gun comes with a great one piece 14" barrel that is unique to this gun. the threads are autococker like all of our stuff, but the barrel tip is where this really gets set apart. On that tip, in the very near future we will be offering barrel kits with the one piece barrels that are of the design that are on this gun now. the smooth barrel was a pre production item and is not offered.

hope this helps.

i keep forgetting things.

the cocking or charging handle that is visible on the left side of the gun is how the electronics are turned on and off. pull back and release one time and the electronics are on, pull back and release a second time and the gun is in simulate, or the eyes are off and you can dry fire, pull back and hold until the light turns red and the electronics are off.

also the 3 position selector switch on the left side of the gun is fully functional.

I have never paid more than $300 for a paintball marker so it looks like I'll have to wait several years to get one of these but since I don't do battries in the woods anyway I most likley will not ever own one.
