Review: Replica Multicam Uniform, ACU style.
When i first ordered the uniform i was very apprehensive because usually
these reproduction are poor quality and poor Color, but i ordered anyways.
I've wanted a pair of Crye's Multicam uniform for almost a year! But i could
never save up $400 to get a set. As soon as i found these replica uniforms,
i knew i had to have them and at hundreds of dollars less then the real
thing! Here's a review on the quality and color of the uniform, with many
pictures. First i will review the color and pattern of the uniform then get
into the stitching and fabric quality.
Color and Pattern
When i first received the camouflage i wanted to inspect the color and
see if it really blended in, So i dawned the uniform and went to my back
yard (6 acres of Missouri woodland) i was amazed at how well it blended in,
i thought the uniform would be way to tan for my woodland and stick out,
But it blends in perfectly! By the way, these are the same woodlands for
Oklahoma D-Day. (I'm just 20 minutes away from D-Day)
Comparing the color and prattern to the actual Multicam in pictures, the
pattern looks 99% identical! A few color's are off if you really looked
hard, but its Extremely good for a reproduction. I could even tell the
uniform got darker in the sun and greener in the shade. See for your self in
this comparison image. I did not adjust the color at all.
Stitching and Fabric
Now for the stitching and fabric quality of the uniform. When i first
wore the uniform, the over all quality of it was impressive. The only thing
i didn't like was a few strings falling off here and there, but thats just
what happens when breaking in a new uniform. The uniform has very strong
fabric, it is made of 50% cotton 50% nylon, mil-spec. I took the uniform out
for a test run around in the woods for about an hour doing various
activities to test the uniforms durability. Such as, jumping over fences,
dropping to firing positions, crawling, running, and testing the strength of
the groin stitching! That areas stitching has ripped on me in the past on
military issue BDU's. To my surprise the stitching held up Strong! The
zipper on the ACU i expected to be very cheap and most likely break, But
wow! it is actually pretty good, zips up nicely and feels very strong.
The pockets and velcro along with the whole uniform are all double
stitched. When i first wore the uniform i knew it would take a lot for this
to rip! Over all, the stitching quality of the uniform is superb. The ACU
cut makes every thing very convenient. Built with velcro pockets, arms
pockets, ankle pockets, also along with a pen pocket on the fore arm.
To sum up the whole uniform, It is really a great buy. I am very glad i
took the risk and bought the uniform. It turned out 10 times better then
what i expected. I really Love the pattern of the Multicam, it might not be
the real thing, but it's 99% close and 300 bucks cheaper! Don't pass up the
opportunity to buy this wonderful Multicam uniform. Purchase it today! If
you have any questions or comments please feel free to E-Mail me at
