The one in Marysville is not open play though. the guy only does private groups and it is FPO. I think you need 10 people for 4 hours. For the prices he charges though we might as well go to Splatter Park if we are doing a private group.

saw his review on pbreview.com

Jeff and I had a party scheduled for there but we went to Cannon instead which is when we ran into the team. It isn't bad one field is for speedball and it is just a bunch of junk laying around. The 2 woods fields are one natural and has a fort/sniper tower thing in it. They don't look bad only problem is we would need to maybe get another team or something to go with us so we would have enough people.

I NEED to play at that Battlefront place. Hubbard, Ohio is off 80 just east of Youngstown, and just this side of the PA border. 181 Miles from downtown Columbus, 3:13 (i.e. 2.5 hours if you ride with me).
A bit of a haul for just a practice, but I'll contact them and see if they have any events scheduled for this season to make it worth the trip- would be a great place to meet up with the Chaiborne Rangers, as it's an easy drive down 80 for most of them.

I know Jon and Jerr are down with it!!

I have sent a email to the gentleman for the address and area for the field he offered to see if we can use. It is near Chillicothe, OH not near Circleville.
When he gets the address or location I will map it and see how far of a drive it is for us to there for the 03-05 practice.

What are the times and places on the 18th? DK wants to go, and if I can get the GF to entertain Mom for a few hours, I'd love to try out the new Black Eagle.

We are looking at the indoor field in Xenia for the 18th. I think they open at 1pm. We played from 1:30pm - about 6pm last time we were there.

So, uh, how do you guys feel about a change of venue for the 18th/19th?
| Quote: | Josh,
Black Cat and some others have expressed a desire to host events this
year, but nothing finalized yet. We have only been in business since
July, but over 600 different players have been at the field, with many
now playing on a regular basis. One weekend each month we try to have a
multi objective "field" event and we mail and email information at it to
all on our waiver list. It usually results in about 70-90 players
showing up, choosing sides and having a great day. At least three
different groups want to schedule 1-2 day events in the next few months.
The Ohio State Maximum Security Prison Guards for paintball with
walk-ons permitted. (actually this is their 3rd
time) the 506th PIR WWII re-enactors in March, and a bunch of airsoft
guys want the field for a three day closed event in August.(their 2nd) I
am surprised at how many smaller groups keep scheduling. Youngstown
Phantoms Hockey Team brought 28 "maniacs' that used 44,000 paintballs in
5 hours, the Ohio National Guard, Ohio State Patrol, Struthers and Akron
Police Departments, a couple of SWAT Teams....on and on.
The new website will be active in about 2 weeks and we will include
information on when these groups plan on playing. Everyone can play with
most of these groups.
Hope this helps...
Dave Best
p.s. Youngstown State Cheerleaders, 25 strong, said they will be renting
all our guns and playing on February 18 or 19th.

Hello, I'm a member of the Delta Squad Ohio scenario paintball team
(www.deltasquad.net), based in Columbus. One of the guys found your
website and we love the look of the place. Will you be hosting any
big events this year? It's a bit of a haul to get everyone up there
just for drop-in. |

I'm kind of slow today. Are you talking about going to Smithfield for a day of open play on the 18/19th?
Would be nice to see what has been done to the field sence last time we were there. Car pooling would keep the cost down. But don't think PLPA is BYOP. Will get on their site and check on the paint thing.

I know where he can get these to !!! I have a site saved that deals in these. I was looking at them for indoor soccer and indoor golf range type of thing here in the SE corner of the Franklin County area.
Really not that expensive to put up if you are going to use it year round that is.
I am still exploring the old warehouse type thing and opening a field there and offer police or swat teams place to come train type of thing. Just have to find the right spot is all that offers what I am looking for.

18,000 for one that is 80' x 50 and 20 feet tall. When you think about him not making money now, or when it rains or gets to cold!!! I think he would need some power out there though so could be a draw back!!!!

Jon is meeting Jeff and I at my house at 11:30am to leave. It is in Xenia and only about an hour from my place in Marysville. You can give me a call on my cell if you like for directions to my place or ride with jon to my house. We can take my truck provided it isn't raining and just take one car!!! We could even take my wife SUV if it is so we only have one car.

Regarding the original topic... I have a few friends who have been to Battlefront in Hubbard before. They tell me it's absolutely the best field they have ever played on bar none.
The 3 sets of pics on the site alone make u drop your jaw.. Tons of city like building to cover and fire form.. then add in the woods area surrounding it.. and u have the perfect mix of game play...
I am wanting to go to play there really soon also.. so if anyone wants to plan something let me know.
