Fran Bar August 9I'm heading up to Fran Bar on the 9th. I know alot of people dont like it but its bigger than the land and I love the building area. I am hoping to have a few people joining me and I know that at least 2 of them will be renters/ newbies. Figure for a game with them it would be fun to have some extras who know the game well and wont gi9ve them a bad experience. Figure I will get up there at 10-130 ish. if anyone wants to join lemme know.

well then that would be a problem lol. Thanks for the heads up. If it is closed the location will probably be the land. I may just bump it to that to be safe.

I have not heard if Fran Bar is closing or not but the Rumor is today is the last day Sub Aquatics will be open so they won't be there to fill air tanks. Also Fran Bar does close evey year to build up the Haunted Hoochie but This early would be insane.

just checked it out. they are actually expanding he said. makes me wonder if they will be closing down for the hoochie.

I went by there last Sunday and they had a big group of people heading back to play there. So they are open at least as of last Sat.
It is bigger than the land but how safe it is not sure. Unless he cleaned it up really good I would be iffie on playing there. IMO. I have not been there in a year and half so not sure what is there. Some have said it is okay some have said it is bad of course it is what you make of it to. It is cheaper to so that is good for ya Judge

i lso just like the diff terrains to choose from. plus i am honestly thinking about offering to do some cleaning for free lol. just to increase some numbers since it is closer and less $$ for me.

Understand the different terrain thing also. It does have that for sure. The cleaning up you can try but the last time we asked him about that he turned us down on the offer. But hey maybe things have changed for him now.
If I can not make it this Sat. Maybe join you then on the 9th. Not sure yet as the school year gets closer to starting for the 2 older ones the list of things needed keeps getting bigger.....just think I have college to look forward to for the oldest one the senior this year.....

understandable... I just got had a horrible happening. My comp dies. I m on the parents dino of a comp and so I will be selling the A5 for funds so trust me, I know what you mean about the list getting bigger.

actually me and my bro were thinking of making our way out there to play this saturday anyway...ill give u a call and let u know...i dont have internet in my apartment yet so i havent been able to get on here for awhile...

I didn't make it out last Sat to the land with the remote breaking and the house list getting bigger for me to do. This Sat. is out as the son's soccer team is scrimmaging and then I am refereeing a alumni game in the evening in Teays Valley.
Man things just keep getting in the way

I am out as I picked up four games to referee tomorrow. 2 morning and 2 evening games for high school scrimmages. Oh well

Showed up at Fran BAr and there were a total (including me) of 6... hmmm not too fun. So I called the land and they said 60 were showing up... 60 showed up... plus six. Me and a few of the guys from fran bar went up there and had a hay day. didnt lose once and they never really wanted to switch us up even though we kept beating them. The only downfall was a crazy ref who didnt do his job. 3 or 4 of us bunkered a guy who felt it was necessary after he had been hit to shoot at us for 30 seconds or so until one of us finally pulled him out of there by force to show him he was out. The ref stood about 20 yarda away and did nothing. I was a little mad so I warned the kind not to pull a stunt like that again especially since there have been times where people use physical force to retaliate. The ref yeled at me and said no such thing will ever happen like I was going to do something ( he clearly misunderstood me) so when I went to take off my mask since all barrel socks were on and guns were down he told me if i pulled something like taking my mask off again before he authorized it he would sit me out. The funny part was half of the people had already taken off their masks and threw them back on really quickly because of his rant. I did get little pleasure though when he ran behind a bunker and hid but I didnt know it was a ref so I shot him.  oops

Forwarded your post to Naaman at the Land and included OldDog and my experiance of the lack of caring refs the week before. Hope this changes becase of one accident can and most likely will shut that place down and that would be a shame.

yea one of the other refs came out and finished the day up and he was really good. very people friendly and actually did the job instead of just yelling at people to keep their masks on when no one is even holding their paintball guns lol.
