Lima Company US MarinesI just got done watching the Lima Company story on A & E. It went through and showed video of the company while in Iraq and the stuff they went through.
It showed one fo the tracks the marines use to be inserted or travel in through out their tour. At one point it had show one of the tracks that was hit by a mine and it was cooking as they called it. Video showed the rounds cooking off from weapons and talked to one of the survivors of that track about what was going on in the track and what they had to do to get out. One of the marines was on fire in the track and still trying to help out another marine who just graduated from high school get out.
It also showed what the families of the dead marines have been going through since the death of their marine. One was of a mom who could not keep her new born daughter as she was unable to deal with her new born daughter and 4 yr old son at the same time. She had given her daughter to her parents as she is trying to get herself back together and getting the house sold and finding somewhere to live that is affordable for her and the kids.
My hat is off to anyone that is military right now and is serving in Iraq or has been there and to see what some of these guys have to go through.
I am pissed off that the great USA is not taking care of these families and helping them to get back on their feet. Just my teo cents and thought I would pass this onto you that had missed the show...

Same here, i have a friend at school whos brother was over in Iraq with Limba Company, he was in that video not a big part tho but it showed a few clips of him in it.
I saw the movie too and it was war, people would be joking around one minute and the next they would be trying to help there soilders they were just talking too.
The saddest part is the people who have to live with there family and friens over in Iraq, i think i can be worse than being in Iraq fighting the war yourself.

I second that notion. I was in Kosovo and Bosnia and I have seen some things that still haunt my dreams to this day but it's hope that this will soon end that keeps me going!
