MARPAT Digi Altama BattlewearFor anyone looking to get a off brand type underarmor matieral T-shirt in MARPAT Digi Pattern which doesnt fade.
Check these places out.
I picked up the last size off of Morse Road at the Supply Captain. (Supposably going out of business or stopped making these shirts, so make sure if you get these you get these soon.)
I got mine for 20$ at Supplu Captain, They are going for about the same price here but Shipping might add some more, but well worth the money.
If you get the compression fit you will be able to wear in the winter also under your Heavier BDUs, but great for the summer also.
Keeps you dry and cool.
The Prices go from 19.40 somthing to about 25.00 The more you go down the more expensive they are. But shipping might be more one place than another so if you want to purchase make sure you double check.

Supply Captain is the store i bought them off of on Morse. but They said they stopped making the shirts so they wont get anymore.
So it looks like unless you find them some where else u will have to buy whats left online.

If I buy a shirt can you make me a pair of long sleeves, since you are the sewing gods. Olddog

Sleeves are HARD. For my own shirt, I'm taking a USMC BDU blouse, cutting it off above the nipples, and sewing it to an Under Armor long-sleeve top. I'd rather waste a $40 BDU shirt than make sleeves with wrist closures and elbow pad pockets.
DK is a little better at the detail work, maybe he'd be up for it.

OD - if your talking about getting 2 xl shirts and sacrificing one of them to make one long sleeve shirt, then that is easy enough.
If you are talking about adding thicker BDU material for the sleeves, I thought of this too, but I don't think the material would support it. I think it would stretch out over the shoulder, and eventually rip off and then you would end up with a sleeveless muscle shirt!
Josh is going to make kinda like 'welding sleeves' out of his old BDU and then add them to the under armor, this might work too, but again it might not hold up with the abuse we dish out.
Let me know if you want to do just a long sleeve under armor type, that is really easy to whip up.

That's why I'm just encasing a complete UA shirt in sleeves AND shoulders of the heavier material. The BDU fabric will run between the sleeves in front and back, holding them together. It's like wearing one shirt over the other, but the outer one is cropped up high on the chest. This is kinda how that old jersey shirt I have is made, except the lighter fabric is lightweight Poly-Cotton T-shirt fabric instead of stretchy stuff, and on that one the light fabric was only on the bottom of shirt, not under the sleeves.
Here's the design page from that...

I didn't think about the material not holding up. I was just looking to get something a cooler to use in the heat. Olddog

OD - with the amount of crawling through the bushes you do, I think if I take 2 of the altima shirts, scavange one of them to make sleeves for the other, and add some poly-cotton elbow and forearm coverage, then it would work great for what you want.... cooler, with light protection from pickers and walking through the bushes.
Think about it... if you want it, get the shirts and I'll make it happen.

Hey guys I have bought a woodlands print Camo Long Sleeve "T" shirt at General Merchandise for under $20.
Here's a pict of me wearing it at the CPPA gathering. We were playing civil war in this pict, I was the last alive against 4 others so yeah it looks like I'm praying, I just might have been LOL.

Yep, I have a couple of those in MarPat- you can buy them from OPSGear, among others. They're nice, and comparatively cheap, but not as cool as UnderArmor, or as good at protecting from thorns.

OD - Of all those links Dirt put up, this one is $19.99 each and has 2 options, compression and loose fit.

The compression shirt has 8% spandex and the loose fit is 100% poly. Your choice, I can work with either.... just make sure to get the 2xl for the material shirt...
Umm, new project.... cool....
