something new for the a5

Tech T has this thing going on right now for some new paddles for the cyclone on the a5. So for 10.00 I am going to give them a try.

They are a softer paddle for the cyclone as I can tell made out of some kind of a rubber material that gives somewhat but not enough to keep it from feeding the pb's into the gun.

So I figured what the heck for 10.00 I would give it a try. They are beta testing them for the 10.00 and so now I just need some decent weather to go out and try them out.

Well, these are supposed to be easier on the paint shells than the stock A-5 paddles, which at higher rates of fire can really beat the snot out of most paint. These are essentially taking the X-7 paddles one step further.  Like Bingo said, they're in Beta testing right now, so I'm sure there will be further tweaking to the design.

cool

yeah it hs the same concept except with the a5 instead of the x7.

I remember when were at the BHD event at battlefront in March (why the hell would you do it then now that I look back on it) the a5's were just spiting globs of paint out and the x7's were getting along okay if you have the right paint. The a5's it did not matter what paint you had it was still a blender in the freezing conditions.

So this concept is like Zoo said trying to make paddles that are easier on the paint. Hopefully it works out, hell it only cost me 10.00 so what is there to loose.

did you say you got it from tech t i might want to give this a try

I would love to come out and thanks for letting me know. But right now I have to referee games starting at 7am at Easton. that is to test the back out and see if I can get back into it for the rest of the season before I go to the neuro surgeon to get a consult done.

But the daughter has a home basketball game to at 10 am also that I need to go to seen how the games during the week I can not get to. Sorry for the life story going on here.

But I did get the new paddles on the marker and they are a good fit so far and do work on the marker. Now I just need to test them out. I might try to give them a work out in the back yard tomorrow after all the family stuff is done and there is light outside.

Let you guys know the results

Hey Bingo.. I have the new paddles on BOTH of my A-5s they work very well. I had a jam last time i played... still not sure how that happened.. but needless to say it did.....anyways, the ball just stuck between the paddle and the wall of the cyclone.. it didnt beak. So money well spend. I got mine from tippmannparts.com
