I think this is a update to the field or progress they have made that BD was just filling us in on. It also says in the header 09......

We tried this last year and it all fell apart at the last minute type of thing. If can get enough people that want to go I might think about this. But you have to remember to think long and hard on this one. Once you committ then we would need you to go for sure to this.

This type of trip that far away will take a lot of planning for also. And my recommendation if you go is not 1st Inf. You are beach fauder(spelling). You will get lit up by the Germans......

Yeah, it's way too late to do this this year, I'm talking about next.   The new water system would make this much more pleasant for everyone involved.

Trust me after being there and experiencing the water smell in the rest room shower area, it is a BIG improvement then if they are putting that in now.

too much $$ for me.  I have tuition due soon so I have to concentrate on paying that off.

Start putting $30 in a mason jar every month now, and you should be good-to-go.

Caravan? Hopefully we will have the team van up and running by then.

not for sure yet, but it looks good.  will be taking the trailer and will have room enough for 2 riders/sleepers.  more to come

We are going but the team is having van issues! The  breaks are shot all around when I was only told it was the break line!!!!! Thanks dad!

Any one have a cheap van for sale?

Dude, brake pad, rotors, and shoes are cheap and easy, and usually don't require special tools.  If you get into lines, calipers and cylinders it gets a little more messy, but it's still cheaper than replacing the whole van (at least, any van that you'd want to travel to OK in).

Oklahoma D-Day

We went to D-Day this year and it was a blast. If anyone wants to go next year I have room for six and I am renting a u-haul trailer for all the gear. I filled up the bed of my truck with just two of us last time. It is a pretty cheap trip. Camping is include in the Reg price. Paint wa $60 a case. I went through 3 cases but I like to shoot a lot. If it wasn't for all the mods I did to my gun I would have gotten away with spending around $500 for the trip. The more that go the cheaper it is.

Yea but it is the 13 hr drive that is the killer. I went in 05 and it was a blast with the 1st Inf. Division we did that year. It is hot there at this time of the year. You just have to plan for it is all.

Me I would rather, if the team does not go to this. Plan for Fulda Gap or go to the game with some of the guys from PBC at Bearclaw field. Shorter drive for those two

Really I would love o treat myself to this but alas it may have to wait until 2014 for me.  I know 6 years away, but I will be graduated and be making big $$ as a doc lol.  I figured if you could go through just 2 cases of paint and took a car that got 30mpg along with at least a total of 4 guys in there it would cost about 360 minimum. That is at 5 bucks at gallon too.  So who knows maybe I can pull something together.  I have been known to get thrifty when the time calls for it. We will see.  I say 2014 but this is my DREAM place to go play.

Time to hijack the thread...

I know, I started the thread, but I definitely won't be going in 2009- It turns out I'll be having a son at the end of December, so I imagine I'll be using all of my 2009 vacation time up in January.

It's a Boy!

When will Bulldog Jr. be joinging Delta Squad? 9 years old? lol.

I probably will be out of this also now since some snowboarding trips popped up for this winter, im gonna need all the extra money i can for those trips.

But if we skip this we can still hit other events, and we wont be set back too much for the season.
