Please allow me to introduce myselfHello All,
My name is Justin. I'm an Ohio State student who played woodsball quite a few times about 6 years ago, and ever since, I have been itching to play again. I never had my own gun, so would use my friend's spare guns to join games. At that time, I tried various guns, including autocockers and automags, but fell in love with the 68 carbine.
The other day, with some extra money on my hands, I decided to go hunting for a 68 carbine, to start paintballing again. I found a few, lost a few bids on ebay, then was about to buy one from a guy in Kentucky. But first I decided to go to Paintball Ohio. I realized that buying an old 68 would be a bit of a hassle with the lack of parts, so I wanted to see if I could find any new guns, because after repairing any 68 and shipping, the cost would end up being around $100. AND the gun is really old. When I visited the shop, I found a slightly used A5. I was pretty excited, and decided to buy.
Now here is my problem. All of my friends either stopped playing, play speed ball, or moved away. Some did multiple. Now I have a marker, a desire to start playing again, a love for the game and tactics, and no one to play with. Any suggestions? I recently joined the SpecOps "Brigade" in order to find players, and stumbled across one of your members, which led me to this page. I realize I probably wouldn't be much use to your team, considering my lack of practice, but any suggestions or ideas would help.
Thank you,

Hell, I have only played a few times last summer.
This is going to be my first REAL season...
However, these guys are great about having people tag along and play with them. Hell, I"m goin' to BlackHawkDown with them in March! HOOAH!
Good luck to ya... THe A5 is a great gun. good purchase!
I have one myself and I think most of this team does. lol

Check out our "events" and if you can make it look us up at one, we always like to have new guys come out and run.

Like they said, we're more interested in enthusiasm and willingness to play as a team than experience or gear.

I agree, experience in paintball is a big part when knowning wether your going to get hit or not, fear of getting hit and knowing how to react and stuff but other than that and working with the equipment its all based on basic stratagies and teamwork.
Good choice for the A-5, you will find it customizable in many ways to your liking and it shoots just as good as any other tippmann....most of the time....
