There are a couple of options the most common are the FRS and GMRS, which are what you get at your local store, now the radios we are using are UHF these are much better at cutting through the woods and give you a range of about 5 miles, the difference in price is 40.00 for the FRS and GMRS
and 80.00 for the UHF so for a little more money you get a much better radio but you are limited by there use where as everybody has the FRS and GMRS. Od
