Sherwood Forest Paintball "GI Joe"Team members that attended this game were: T.O. (Pete) Bulldog (Josh) D.K. (Chad) Olddog (Carmen) Dirdy (Austin) Sunshine (Travis) Bingo (Jerry)
Well all I have to say is a great field as usual and a blast to play at with all of the scenario players that were there. There was som eof the usual stuff that happens, over ball (little), inserts were different this year though, and some more vendors. The drive is a little long for us but the game and being with the teammates was great and worth it.
We got to the field right around 330 or 4pm on Friday night and set up the T.O. mobile. After getting set up it was dinner time and we really were not sure on that issue and how to resolve it for us. So T.O. called for the pizza and they delivered to the field, that was after about 3 or 4 calls to different establishments to find one that would deliveer to us.
After the team devoured the pizza we decided to go ahead and get registered or pick up the paint if we pre registered. The nice thing with this was the paint was checked before it was given to you. My case had no breaks in it at all, so that was a relief. The paint for this one was Cryptic by Zapp. It was okay but if you used a tippmann a5 like me all it did the whole event was break on me.
The game time for us was Sat. at around 12pm, which kind of was nice to just take your time to get ready for the game. But then it was sitting around time that killed yeah. You wnated to gety out and play for ASAP but we had to wait till the 12pm time. All of us were smart in getting the Chrono out of the way and getting the air fills done also before the line started to build. It also helped if we had any issued with the markers. It gave you time to get it fixed before the game was on.
Well the time arrived for the game and we all proceeded to the insertion point of our side (GI JOE) We were invited by Boomer from team Akictka to the "Joe" side. We also grouped up with the Great Lake Rangers on our side for the event. Alot of coordination and planning went into this event for a couple of months for the Joes side. The one thing you have got to have if playing scenario ball is planning. If you can get a good cordinated plan together it may help you accomplish a lot more of the missions and goals of the game. I can not remember who our general was, I remember the face just not the name.
It had been planned (game) for the Joes as we just had just from the get go dominated the "Cobras" side for the whole day Sat. from the get go in the missions and the scenario with the coordination of the teams. The radio chatter was kept to a minimum and communication was great from the command staff.
The night game was great in getting to move around and going to the castle to check out if anyone was there from the Cobras. The field was dark as all get out and hard to see anything unless you have a good night vision set up. One incident we got ourselves right smack into a ambush by one of the Cobras and was not where to even be seen. he had the dark colors on and in some bush and we did not even see him. That was one of the situations where you just dropp to the ground once the firing starts and hope you don't get hit.
Once we got to the castle it was lit up by the tiki torches and casted a yellow or golden glow on the castle. We approched the castle with caution as you could not see if anyone was in a certain spot or not. Now the castle is made of railroad ties and is two stories high. Once you get into it you are on the ground level and can be easily taken out from above.
I had a adrenelein (spelling here) rush just approaching the thing and not being able to see. You kind of just bend over at the waist and walk cautiously to the entrance. We had some help here with Bulldog and his NV as he was up there first and barking on the radio that there was no one there as he checked the floors and their rooms. The squad of us that was sent out there startede to approach the castle and got inside and finished the sweep of the place with Bulldog.
Once we were inside we started to take some fire from the west of the castle. Some of it was just sparatic fire and hitting the side of the castle. We began to establish soem kind of defensive tactic in case it was going to be a rush to us by the Cobras.
After some battles and people getting taken out at the castle some of the members retired for the night back to the camp for the night at around 11pm or there about.
I have to say it was a great game for us as a team. We got to get to know each other better and harass each other in good fun all weekend. We watched each others sixes on the field as much as possible and had a great time. I myself would like to thank the guys that went who are listed on top. It was a great time and something to remember as time goes by. i learn more and more each time out from Bulldog and D.K, but also learned some more from Olddog and T.O.. I have found that if I want to keep up with Dirdy and Sunshine I will need to get rockets attached to my boots !! Too be young again would be awsome and play this game.....
Thanks guys !!

This was no doubt the most fun of all the games i have been to since i started paintballing. This was also my first full blown 24 hour scenario game. Sure i played a few scenarios at battlefront but those were nothing compared to this!
It was tons of fun with you guys. I feel like we got alot accomplished compared to past events and practices and were heading in the right direction. Maybe not the recognition we would like but with a few more recruits on the team we can get this puzzel put together for a great team.
P.S. Barrel Kits Kick Ass.
Reason Speedballers use them is becuase they use alot of diffrent types of paint sizes and brands at diffrent fields they travel too. Just like Scenario players, so why be any diffrent? Thats my advice.

I had SOOO much fun on this one! Thanks to everyone who came, thanks to Pete for RV'ing us and everything else, Old Dog for providing laughs and missile support with his new toy (because paint balls are too small, nurf rockets are so much more fun) , Jerry for being the tall back row support, Josh for his never ending gear, Dirty for your running (he never stops! I can't keep up...) Sunny for his belly crawling through the bushes..........
Man, that was FUN....
Anyhow, I got the few pictures I took posted up, have a look and a laugh!
