WTB: HPA / N2 TankHey All,
I'm Looking to get an HPA/N2 air tank. 68 to 92 in size and 3000 or 4500 psi not to picky just looking for something decent at a decent price.
The best price I've seen so far is a 68 3000psi for $60 or $65 is that a good price or can I get better. If anyone is getting rid of one let me know. I would prefer a bigger higher pressure tank, but don't want to spend a ton on one just yet. High pressure output please.
Thanks,

I would go with 68 / 4500
Its not to small and not too big. 68+ can get a little bulky in a vest or on your waist and even more bulky and heavy on gun.
Really you can go with 3000 which 99% of parks fill up that high too, but 45k is what i have and it will get a few extra shots (i forget how much but there are scuba sites that have all the calculations per shot extra and stuff if you really wanna know)
The only down side too a 45k is some parks might not fill that high, most do though.
Also Im not sure where you have seen 68/3k selling for 60$ but my guess is thats aluminum or the hydro test is out of date. If your tank isnt hydroed to date then no one will fill it for ya, it cost about 15 bucks to get it hydroed tested. If you get Aluminum well the downside to that is its gonna be a hell of alot more heavier. 2-3x more heavier. Carbon Fiber tanks are the way to go if your asking advice from me!

I agree and depending on what you really want out of it shot wise is what will determine the size to go with. I run a 91/4500 and love it b/c I never have to stop for fills when alot of people do. Also They sell some that are 110/4500 but that is really big. If you want a new one that is bigger than 68/4500 I recomend the Pure Energy 88/4500. its not too much at paintball discounters and if you fill it there everytime you can buy an air pass for 10 bucks and get unlimited refills for a year.

I have the 72/3000 tank and got it off ebay for 75.00 I think it was that much. Check on ebay as I got mine new there. It is a high energy tank also and it is the metal tank which it adds some weight comapred to the fiber wraped ones. But I do not have to hydro as soon as the fiber wraped ones.

my fiber is a 5 yr hydro which is quite a while. I know alot of fiber wrapped tanks are going t 5 yr hydro which is nice and I also forgot to recomend the fiber b/c of weight. I bought a 72/3000 at first (2 of them to be exact) and they were so heavy compared to my 91/4500. They were heavier than any fiber wrap tank sold actually.

I know you were looking for maybe a used one and I know Toyman down at The Land has several tanks for sale right now and some of them are under $100. He'll be there Sunday with his team for pratice.
Here's my advice...
Go 4500psi (5000 is over priced & NOBODY around here fills that high anyway) even if the field don't fill to 4500 you still have that option where it's available.
If you are going to buy a new tank becasue you can't find a used one at a price you can handle check the dates on the tanks, God bless them I love General Merchandise but every tank in their counter is almost a year old so there's a year of it's life you don't get to use and you can only re-hydro carbon tanks till they are 15 years old then they MUST be replaced.
I'm also in the market for another HPA tank and I'm going to look around Christmas time, maybe the Day after Thanksgiving if I'm not reffing down at The Land but everyone is going to be getting a new shipment of tanks for Christmas so they should be newer and might be on sale
Hope this helps and if you see me at the same shop and theres only one tank left and we both reach for it please remember I BITE

I have a 72/3000 too and since it's my ONLY backup I still have it but my Timmy with an empty Halo and 88/4500 weighs LESSS than that stupid tank alone. Add Paint to the Halo then I think it might weigh less but I'll need a scale.
