The gun is easy to take care of don't fret about it. You should not have a problem with taking it apart.

You mean for spare parts?

In addition to local retailers, I've had good service through these companies:
Action Village - A5 section http://www.actionvillage.com/is-b...n-gun-upgrades-tippmann-a-5-parts
Hot Shot Paintball - A5 section

First some questions:
1. Is it new or used? And if used, do you know what it already has installed?
2. Will you be using strictly HPA, or also shoot some CO2 at times.

UUHHH !! I have had some good luck with Paintball Ohio in parts there. But i think you can find some cheaper other places.

1. upgrade the cyclone ratchet with either the JCS Jet Click or tech t mod for the cyclone. It will save you in the long run of having to replace the parts. Nothing like the cyclone pooping out in the middle of fire fight.

2. I had some good luck with the squisshy paddles from tech t for the cyclone also. Had them on the last a5 I sold to get the dt kit. Much easier on the pb's in the cyclone. Gave me less breaks IMO...

The quick exhaust I would pass on it. I think it was BD that told me when I was looking at it that when the paint gets in there it can jam the rod up. I have read on some of the other forms that it was the case also with people using them on their a5. Just my two cents.

I will be getting the soft paddles and the cyclone upgrade for my dt kit eventually

get the JCS jet click over the TechT.  There is no spring cutting with the JCS.  Search it on ebay and you can get it for 20 something shipped as opposed to 35+shipping for the tech t.  Also if it has the RT alot of people have problems with HPA and RT.  You will have to do some dialing in or check out the tippmann forums to see how to do the super rt upgrade which allows for more air flow.

The HPA and r/t is a pain in the arse comapred to it being used with co2. i had my first r/t on a 98custom and it did not wrok at all for me when I switched it over to HPA. It was way to hard to get it dialed in on the HPA.Just my two cents Laughing

Learn Something everyday.  Thanks for the info guys (I know it's not my thread but I'm still taking the info)  I had an RT on a marker that was stolen from me and I never had a problem with it but again I always used it it was on CO2.

Yea I was thinking about just going back to CO2 and find a 24oz tank
I have heard the same things about it, but its not that hard to adjust I might just deal with it
