JT masks with a Thermal Spectra Lens are nice
VForce Profilers/Morphs/Shields are good as long as you keep a new lens in them
OldDog has Dye inVisions (I know I sold him one) and altho the lens is a total PAIN to change they are nice masks.
I currently own every mask I just reccomended except an inVision.

This is what I have. You can see very well out of it, lens can be removed within 10 to 15 seconds, and is very easy to clean. I would recommened it but it will cost you around 50 to 60 bucks. |

| Go to a local paintball store and try on a lot of different masks. Certain masks will fit certain faces better, and a good-fitting mask will be comfortable and fog less. Don't buy a mask simply because it is cheap.....you will regret it every time you put it on. If needed, sell an extra pod pack, or tank, or gun and make sure you get the mask that fits you best. |

I good mask is definitely more important than a good marker- especially for all-day events where you won't be able to try to clean the fog out every 30 minutes.
I second the notion of trying several on first, with a mirror. For some reason in the past 10 years mask makers have decided that people either have tiny heads or don't care about covering their jaw and chin. The SaveFace masks are some of the worst for this. The Flex-7 and later JT masks have shrunk as well. Maybe this is the result of the shift from adults playing woodsball to 14-year-olds playing Speedball.....
I love the way my full Flex7 JT Headshield fits and feels, and for the most part it's fog-free. The problem with the JTs is that their thermal pane lenses have crappy sealant, and once the seal is broken moisture gets in and they fog between the panes where you can't wipe. They are also a huge PITA to swap out lenses on. DK has had success with oversealing the edge of the thermal lenses with silicone on a new lense before he installed it.
I've had my eye on the VForce Grillz, but am waiting for a full helmet. I crawl through the brush a lot, and thus get shot on the top of the head too often. Also, with a full helmet I don't feel the need for a hat or do-rag, so my head stays cooler, which reduces fogging and overall heat exhaustion. _________________ "videor levis, forsitan usus pauci telum" |

If the mask came with the marker, it probably has a cheap lens- maybe with a "fog resistant" coating, but only single pane. Your cheapest solution might be to pick up a double-pane lens fro that mask, if you like it otherwise. _________________ "videor levis, forsitan usus pauci telum" |

I have an extreme rage "loaner" mask that has a thermal lens that i'd be willing to swap out for you the next time we are at the same place at the same time. If you can't wait that long but will be at a team event that OldDog or someone else from the Columbus area I'll send this mask so you can swap the lenses out, and no real need to re-install your old lens, just send it back with the mask.
