e grip i useless as you will have to go with the semi auto as most or all events will not let you use egrips. Now if you do the egrip in semi will help with quick firing. Just my two cents......if you do not have the back up yet I would suggest getting it then as you do not know what will happen at a game or before. _________________ If you find a tree big enough to get behind, push your teammate out from behind it.

Yeah, I wish I would have known that a lot of places don't allow e-grips. I have mine currently programmed to response and luckily I have a selector switch. However, that is also somewhat of a bad thing. The guy at the chrono booth at red dragon was giving me shit for having a selector switch and made me show him I had it set to response and said I better not reprogram it.
So, it looks like replacement gun falls before the new vest and camo I think I'll be able to swing another A-5 before Blood Fest. _________________ Siege Dog/Assault Pioneer |

If you currently have the A-5 HE grip with selector switch, I'll give you a stock grip and some cash for it. PM me an asking price. Alternately, I may be up for selling my whole A5 to you as a spare, so I can pick up the new E-P X7 Phenom. _________________ "videor levis, forsitan usus pauci telum" |

How do you guys like the RAP4 markers? If I join the team, I was thinking next season I would pick one up as I get more into the sport. I realize right now I'm new and super enthusiastic about everything right now, so much that I'm even annoying myself. However, I think this is something I'd stick with. _________________ Siege Dog/Assault Pioneer |

I myself don't have a Rap4 marker, but some of the guys on the team like Kazoo and Bulldog have the T98 or whatever type marker, magazine fed and stuff. The things rip.
As for something you would stick with...i speak for myself and others do relate. Rap4 markers remind me alot of like Tippmanns the way they are heavy duty and great for the woods. And much like a realistic gun. But as far as paintball across the board goes, might not be such a great marker overall when playing other games not so scenario / woodsball.
But if your only going to be playing scenarios and woodsball. Great markers. _________________

They seam to be well built and reliable, but the size make them difficult to use. OD _________________

So I found thishttp://www.rap4.com/paintball/os/tippmann-machine-body-p-5227.html on the rap4 website. I know it mostly cosmetic, however, it does offer a raised sight rail/carrying handle and weaver rails and would still allow me to get that MilSim look and use my apex as well as mount a flashlight and one of those nifty folding grips, not too mention represent a sponsor.

Adds quite a bit of weight. That's not a big deal when you're playing short games at a local field, but at a 24-hour scenario game you'll regret it by hour 3. _________________ "videor levis, forsitan usus pauci telum" |

So far I am the only one man enough to carry a decked out tippman for long games. Gun weighs around 12lbs and my pack is usualy around 40lbs. But on a serious note red dots, scopes, etc just dont work worth a crap. the best thing you can do is shoot a lot of paint and get to know your gun well. Start placing targets at different distances, moving targets, and stationary targets while you are on the move. Play with the team as much as you can so you know their styles of play.
OD is a leader and generaly stays back to direct and take care of advancers
Dirty and Hollywood are the speed of the team and like to get in the mix
Bulldog is our Macgyver and loves buying new toys and making serious modifications. He is a sneaky bastard that will dredge through the mud just to snipe someone.
and I love to sling a ton of paint to cover dirty and hollywood not to mention command the biggest butt wooping ever given to an oponent by Delta Squad (as far as i know anyway)
Anyway, before you go spending a ton of money like I did, talk to people that are using what you want and see if it is worth it. The only stock piece on my A5 is the shell. Looks bad as hell but I could have bought a high end space gun that shoots a hell of a lot further and accurate than a tippman but like you seem to, I love the looks of it.
Anyway keep asking the questions and this group will save you a ton of money and heartache.
My 2 cents....

Yeah, I think I will end up buying that machine gun case/shell. I'm a tought guy and I think I can bear the weight. No regrets here. And I know it's mainly just for looks but I'm allowed to have some guily pleasures on my gun. I mean, you have to like the gun you play with and I won't complain about having a marker that looks like it is out of some Ridley Scott or Paul Verhoven film.
Also, I know this is looking a little far ahead, but it's a good thing to keep the sponsors happy and I would like to think that one day I could mount a Land Warrior on my marker.
Edit: My radio arrived today. However, with the current antenna it doesn't fit in my radio pouch. I do think a throat mic would be a good investment. _________________ Siege Dog/Assault Pioneer |

I was talking to Bulldog and he recommended I get a head set that actually fits inside my mask. _________________ Siege Dog/Assault Pioneer |

Earbone transducer
Helmet Headset for Kenwood/Puxing
Once you have your Tactical 10 vest you can get a MOLLE mount for one of Fets radio pouches, which might be cheaper- and is definitely more readily available- than one of the custom ones DK or I make. _________________ "videor levis, forsitan usus pauci telum" |

What is that Frankensteinesque scope?
Also, do you have a link to that headset?
