Doh was just coming to post this, and see if the three of us would rather just hit the closer/cheaper event...

Subject: July 15th Anniversary Event - A Two-Front Battle

===8<==============Original message text===============

D-Day had 123 players and the turnout for this event looks even better.

Our first TWO FRONT BATTLE will give the Russians the advantage they had
throughout WWII...unlimited manpower. They will be allowed lots of
reinforcements and will try to wear down the German defenses with sheer
numbers of troops. Americans will reinforce less frequently, but will have
the advantage of technology and air drops. Americans paratroops attacking
Fortress Europe may pop up anywhere on the field to give the Germans fits.
But unlike D-Day, the Germans will be dug in on defense and in their
bunkers at the start of the scenario. Dislodging them and capturing the
6-7 objectives will be very difficult for the Allies.

Prizes for the event are starting to come together, including an ION, an
A-5 with e-grip, field memberships, tanks, pods, bunches of paintballs,
etc.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR...Areas and structures on the western side of the field
will be in play for the first time. This is shaping up to be a great
event...more details next week.

Oh well, I'm still game for IAO.

Oh well I just missed it then as I just did the online registration with BC. DAH !!! Forgot will be in FL that weekend and the following week.

IAO will be fun as it was last year, I had a ball at the field we were at, but this location this year is different. But the field does look interesting to me also at the Three Rivers Park.

Plus the vendors are there and might be some cool looking stuff to take a look at for a change. I plan on leaving the Fri. of at around 1pm so you guys know if anyone wants to caravan over there and get a good camping spot as people do get there early for this one.

When are we going/who's driving? Should I take Thursday off, or just Friday, or what?

I am planning on probably trying to leave early from work around 12pm or if there are enough of us going on Friday in the moring. I will take the day off to get there and get a good spot hopefully for the camping.

Here is what I have seen on the BC forum. The camping is going to be tight and close as the scenario and speedball tourney players will be in the same spot for camping at this site. Although at the last one ,IAO, there were not to many speedball guys on the scenario camping. Of course we did have a much bigger space at Butler Fairgrounds.

So if we want to take the day off to go over and get good camping spot I aM UP FOR IT.Just have to let me know.

99% chance that DeWayne and myself will be going. Funds will be tight, but we will be there.
