Ok, thanks for the advice austin, i'll stick with that idea.

I was told that I can't get any deals from the team sponsors until I've officially made the team, cuz I was trying to figure out how I'd be able to get the team discount from Rap4 for the vest. so if anyone can help me out with that, i'd greatly appreciate it. I'm looking to get my self fully equipped come time for the game in sept. (my digi-camo came in today) so if i can actually get the discounts that would be tight.

Im sure they wouldnt mind you getting stuff at a discount to be ready for the TWC when you do join. I dont even think i have "offiacaly joined" yet either until i go to the game also, or somthing like that.

We'll probably make you sweat it out until we vote you in and collect your dues. We want to hold back the team discounts until we're sure you're committed, to avoid guys signing on to order a bunch of stuff and then dissappearing. Chances are we can get all that in before the September game, especially since a lot of guys are looking for somehting to do in August.

ok, that works, i mean i'll be there for the august practice so hopefully thatll show some commitment to the team, ( i already got my team uniform, came in the mail today) but i understand where you are coming from, and thats pretty smart. even if i do have to wait until august, i still have a month to get my stuff. so that works out perfectly still. so ur basically saying that ill probably be able to get the stuff after our august game. btw, what are the dues, i heard some rumors about having some fee being instated but im curious how much it is.

We've been discussing it in the private sections, and it will probably be between $15-20, and will get you a big 4x10 team patch for the back of your vest, your rank patch(s) and maybe a T-shirt or regular DSO patch, as well as access to the discounts. We get about 1/3 off retail on RAP4 brand items, and even better on J&J, so the discounts alone pay for the dues in a hurry.

We'll probably finalize pricing, requirements, ranks and stuff on the trip next weekend. I'd really like to see it all in place and all you new prospects formally inducted and badged BEFORE TWC, so that we can show up with a tight looking crew.

Unfortunately I'll be in NY, RI, and FL in August, and possibly AL as well, so I may not get to play with you until Sept, depending on how those trips hit the weekends.

I am going to see about calling off for the TWC but I dont know if I will be able to play sooner than that with Delta. I was wondering what I should do for inducction if I cant play before then.

Ok guys. I am going to clear up any mis-conceptions anyone may be having. I have been getting a lot of PM's asking different questions so I'll just let it all out here for you to read.

First, and foremost, to join the team you MUST show up to practices and 1 Big Event. After that, the team members will vote and if you meet the criteria that we are looking for, you are in. We are looking for anyone that wants to play, is a good sport and has some level of dedication to the team that exceeds Sponsorships. Which brings me to my next point - Dues.

We are considering an entry fee of around $20. You pay this whenever you wish after you have been voted onto the team. This money helps pay for your team patches and possibly a shirt. The money isn't the important aspect...what is important is that you show your dedication to this team. We understand everyone has families and we dont expect you to bleed Delta Squad. But for a team to be successful, members need to show some loyalty. For that $20 you also get some great discounts on gear through our Sponsors. These sponsorships are Members Only deals so instead of wondering what you save, let's start figuring out dates of when we can practice.

I apologize if it sounds like I am bitching, as I am not. I just want everyone clear as to how this process works. We are trying a bunch of new things and we want it to be as smooth as possible. Please keep that in mind and bear with us as these changes work themselves out.

On another note, its great to see so many people coming to the site as often as you all do! That kind of dedication will take you places within this club.

Ok, Evol, I got you. For the month of August I'm fairly flexible on when I wll be able to practice, basically any weekend except for Sunday the 20th, cuz I move into my dorm that day and wouldn't really be able to take care of both things to their fullest potential. I realize this won't work for everyone but I'm throwin it out there so we at least have sumthin to start with.

Second, it would be nice to go someplace where you guys can show me better the real ropes of woodsballing to their fullest potential. Cuz frankly fran bar doesnt cut it for me, and I don't thnik it would benefit us as a team as much to go there again, unless we want to practice some more urban tactics. but then again, i'm down for whatever. lets see what we can stir up.

I think Fran Bar wouldn't be too bad if we dropped the "no playing through buildings" rule, and dropped our FPS to 250. Then you could go through the buildings instead of having to fight through one of 3 bottlenecks that can be held by 1 guy each, which is silly on a field where you can shoot the width of it. It was also a lot more fun with CTF to force people to move instead of lumping together in the back.

And anything goes as far as flanking on that one field! Of course dont go out of bounds to where your in the staging area but the empty field with over grown brush...which has paths to the area should be allowed as in bounds!

but i agree travis, the field which evol has been talking about sounds alot better where we could get a better of a feel of how scenario games will go, you dont have much boundries or since of direction as far as where the other team is...which you wouldnt on a big field. there we would get to learn how we could work as a team becuase i didnt get to see a whole lot at fran bar since the field was so small anyways.

so yeah we could do fran bar if we did head thru the buildings and then try to expand the field a bit, xcept that after the wood line on the far side its just field, nothin to really work with. but btw boys sorry for bein such a lil bitch that day, ill let u guys blast me or sumthin later, but i wanted to apologize for that. and its not really no playing inside the buildings, its just that there are so many places to hide that it takes forever to go thru a round. but come to think of it i bet with the way u guys work it would be different and u could do it fairly quickly. on a final note tho, fran bar does suck.

I just found out I can def go. I personally like Fran Bar though. I think its the reasons that alot of people hate Fran Bar (upkeep, parts falling apart, etc.) that makes me like it so much. But if any of you guys can make it this sunday that would be great. Cya there
